David Hernández is a multidisciplinary artist living and working in Los Angeles, CA from Chicago, IL.

Central to his work are the ghosts of history and the open wounds of colonialism. Hernández grew up on the South Side of Chicago where he developed a love for house music, history, and the tension between nature and the city. He received a B.A. in Visual Art from Brown University where he studied painting and American history with a focus on the intersections of race, gender, and class in America.
